Hmm... Well first off: Wine doesnt work on arch64 natively... So you'll have to make a 32bit chroot enviroment and install wine in or download all lib32 stuff to make wine even function.
Have you started/executed any other program under wine?

Yes i got the 32bit libs and the original exe for the game was a self-extracting archive that worked perfect. What do you mean by 32bit chroot?

Hi!
Your problem is in no way connected to WINE. That is, your WINE is probably working correctly. I also get the same error with many X applications, and other related problems.
As far as I have figured out, the problem is caused by unprudent upgrades of the Xlib or libxi libraries by the corresponding devs. The only feasible solutions seem to be:
1. Downgrade of the libxi package to 1.1.4 version (this is not working for all people though), or
2. Wait for an update of the X server.
I'm going for the second one, since the first one is not working.

The Xlib warnings have nothing to do with your problem, and searching the forums would have shown you that.
How did you install Wine?

The PWI installer does not like being run outside the C: drive. Copy the
install.exe file into your wine drive_c folder and run it from there.

Ok there may have been some discrepancies about what i thought the problem was so ill try to clarify I know the xlib warning are NOT the problem in fact i pointed that out i was trying to get people to ignore those warnings. Sorry I worded it wrong. Also i installed the bin32_wine package from the AUR. And procyon what exactly do you mean move it to the C drive? Ive never use wine in my life, do you mean just move anywhere in the wine folder?

With default wine install, c drive is: /home/yourusername/.wine/drive_c

I have tried this and it had the same result the command was
$ wine /home/generic/.wine/drive_c/Perfect-World-International/install.exe
is there something im doing wrong?

I don't run that program, so this is just a guess, but maybe try:
env WINEPREFIX="/home/generic/.wine" wine "C:\\Perfect-World-International\\install.exe"
or possibly the same with install.exe directly on the "c drive" (no P-W-I folder)
Edit: more likely the latter

I'd also try cd'ing to c_drive so you can run $ wine install.exe

Thank you guys very much for the quick response and great help. I was thinking that asking for help on arch's forms may not be effective cause it's supposed to be all advanced but your guys came through in a matter of hours! The game installs quicker on wine than in 64bit XP! Thanks very much!
O and the solution was just moving to the directory with the cd command it must not work to well if embedded too deeply in a directory. Thx again.

The community here is very helpful. Mainly if it seems like whomever posts the question is trying to solve the problem themselves, people are quick to help regardless if the question seems 'noobish' or not.
Anyway, I'm glad that you solved your problem. Please mark threads as [SOLVED] when they are. You can append that to the end of the title by editing your first post.

you need to install lib32-nvidia-utils in order to get wine to work with directx.
