xfce 4.6: problems

Hi

- The right button above the menu xfce does not open any GUI editor. It seems we must necessarily go hand in shape (which bales) have taken away a feature?

- Windows should not be adjacent stress when approaching. In the sense that when they are side by side there is a magnet that effect. But since it was an option to default ... that happened? Solved: window manager-> Advanced -> Snap windows other to other windows

- The shortuct keyboard stopped working ... [solved]

There is none. There will be a new one for 4.8, for now you have to work with .desktop files.

You probably have to just add your shortcuts again, since handling of the meta key changed.

Also, these questions have already been asked and answered, please search the forum next time, thanks.

Re: xfce 4.6: problems

Hi there,

I just tried to install xfce by using pacman -S xfce4. But pacman doesn't install anything, it just says that xfce4-settings conflicts with xfce-mcs-manager.
Does anybody know why?

Thanks,

redbit

[edit] sorry, I should have searched a bit longer: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=66427

Re: xfce 4.6: problems

Ok, not so much a major issue, but..

I've fixed most of the small bugs in 4.6, but now Conky starts above all the other windows when it's autostarted. HOWEVER, when I kill it and start it manually, its fine.

Ideas?

You should probably create a new post for this issue, you will get more responses I would imagine. Also, post your .conkyrc on it

just an idea..... (since I haven't upgrade to 4.6 yet).... but maybe if you adjusted the time of your Conky to load latter then it might load properly. I start mine with this .conky_start.sh script:

#!/bin/bash
sleep 15 && conky;
