This is frustrating. I don't even see ANY fonts on the buttons or elsewhere when I bring up Wine GUI configuration menu. I'm going to try using the open source driver and maybe that will let me play Diablo II.

BTW I still have this problem. I use xf86-video-nv so I can use wine, but of course 3d and programs like Zsnes doesn't work.
I have Ati Radeon 9250 somewhere, but I can't find it It's weird when you want to switch to Ati..

It seems like wine has a probem with font smoothing doesn't work in wine-1.1.12 ( I use wine 1.1.16-1 sstill the same !?)
see:
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16729
do this ,make a file, and put this in:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"FontSmoothing"="2"
"FontSmoothingType"=dword:00000002
"FontSmoothingGamma"=dword:00000578
"FontSmoothingOrientation"=dword:00000001
And run it with :
regedit "filename"
that will turn "off" Font smoothing.
And now I can see my fonts in wine
