OpenBox + PCmanFM & transparency?

I finally figured out how to make urxvt's background transparent, and it struck me that it would make PCmanFM's background transparent, behind all of the icons and in the panels, etc. I have no idea if it is possible, but if anyone knows how, or has a point in the right direction...  I would be much obliged.

Re: OpenBox + PCmanFM & transparency?

There are some GTK themes which, combined with support in the program, can make certain parts transparent. See here for more information.

Re: OpenBox + PCmanFM & transparency?

I have written instructions on how to get an xterm to start up already transparent on the wiki:

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xte … ansparency

so you can see through the xterm you open. This works with openbox menu to start all xterms with a given transparency setting, a function which is not built in to openbox yet.

HTH

heh, bloat is bad - true!
might be a bit more efficient as an rc.xml per-app option, I thought?
