Server Down?
I am getting this error when trying to compile custom kernel:

I suggest trying any other server, because ftp.archlinux.org is throttled.

I was trying same thing, you are building kernel from abs? Yeah, I asked in irc and no one answered. So either ftp.archlinux.org was shut down or isn't being very nice as of late.
