hello, well ive searched many times on this subject and applied many fixes with no luck
i simply cant mount my sd card or usb camera, and sometimes not even my usb stick, its not a permissions problem as im doing this as root aswell
every time i try to manually mount i get errors sayings they have a bad superblock, the only way the computer recognizes them is through gparted or fdisk
its not the hardware because ubuntu live cds mount them fine, this has been happening since september of 08 with no luck, if i cant figure this out ill take arch off although i dont want to do that
ill post exact error messages later as i dont have these items available right now

Perhaps you can try the following on a USB flash card....
mkfs.vfat /dev/sd(whatever your card ID is)
Then :
mount -t vfat /dev/sd(whatever is the ID) /mnt/(any mount folder)
This will mount the flash device without having any data within it and you can verify the properties.
Most fails are due to incorrect filesystems in the device or the mount destination is not correct.
Prediction...This year will be a very odd year!
