Gnump3d: I have to set user as root to see anything..

Title pretty much explains it all..when I installed it and configured it a bit I opened localhost:8888 and saw...nothing sad

So after a visit to google, I found out some people solved this by setting user from 'nobody' to 'root' I tried this and what do yea know! Although since it says in about five different times in the conf file not to set user as root, I would like to have it work with nobody.

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? smile

I know this is a bit old, but I'm in the same spot, and also an arch 64 user.

What are the permissions on the music directory? Try setting the user to your login, too.  Chances are 'nobody' can not read the files.  Also worth checking are the log file paths and permissions.

There is no other mention of user 'nobody' in my setup, not even in groups.

I've used gnump3d for two years now and have been very happy with it, I hope you get it sorted out.

i also tried to get gnump3d on my new arch64 install running, but it does not work.
i guess it has something to do with perl 5.10 changes.
but gnump3d isn't developed or supported anymore.
