VMware converter - installation issues

Hi there.  I hope someone can help me with the installation of the new app.

First a bit of back ground, I want to convert an exising server into a VMware image so that I can load it onto my shiney new ESXi server that I will shortly deploy.

I downloaded the vmware converter, extracted it and have followed the README.

The installer script prompts me to confirm if I want to install the stand alone converter server and the client - I say yes (I was able to install just the client but that didn't seem to be able to connect to the remote server on my network that I wish to make a VM of).

Part of the way through the installer asks....

What is the directory that contains the init directories (rc0.d/ to
rc6.d/)?

I can't find a directory rc0.d - try as a might  sad

Anyone got any tips on how to install vmware converter on my archlinux machine?

Cheers.

You might want to install vmware with the wiki first as it sets up a work around for that.
