Nvidia dual monitors without X, Is it possible?

I was just thinking, does anyone know of a way to run virtual consoles on two monitors?

Normally before X starts only monitor0 is active. When starting X both monitor0 and monitor1 work until you switch to virtual console (tty1-tty6).

I was messing around with the ideal of running with no X when I figured out how to browse the web in a virtual terminal (with graphics) using

links -g

and gpm for mouse functionality.  Just a thought.

I searched the forums and found plenty of nvidia dual monitor problems but nothing to do with having multiple virtual consoles.

Thanks

I'm very interessted in this, too.

I found something on kernel-trap about it from May 2007. http://kerneltrap.org/node/8242

Please send me an email if you find a way.
