Wireshark won't start after upgrade to 1.0.6-1

When I try and run wireshark I get the following error message:

wireshark: error while loading shared libraries: libadns.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I didn't see adns in the official repositories, so I was wondering if there was an alternate package that will provide the library.

adns is in community. If installing that solves the problem, file a bug report against wireshark.

Re: Wireshark won't start after upgrade to 1.0.6-1

I just installed wireshark on a 64-bit system and it refused to start. I googled the error message and got this:

http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/13236

Indeed, installing 'adns' and 'portaudio' solved it, but why is the bug marked as solved?

The same happened to me with another package recently (unfortunately it has escaped me for the time being...). A bug was marked as solved even though I experienced it after.

Am I missing something about how Arch deals with bugs?

That  bug was not marked as solved. It was just closed because it was a duplicate of another bug report.
