Boot/Kernel issue

Hello -

On a vanilla install from the CD version (2008.06) everything works. When I upgrade everything, the 2.6.28.4-1 kernel seems to cause problems. I can get things working again by downgrading the kernel but this seems inelegant (and I'd like the nvidia 96XX driver which apparently requires 2.6.28).

The error message I get is:

request_module: runaway loop moprobe binfmt_ffff

5 or 6 times then:

input: AT Translated Set 2 Keyboard as /class/input/input1

I'm really struggling with this - I've searched the forums and google and I'm at a dead end.

Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Boot/Kernel issue

Bumping this. Problem persists and I *really* can't find a solution.

Re: Boot/Kernel issue

Not a solution, but your second line there is not relevant to your problem.
