openoffice dependency

Hello,

I would like to point out that Openoffice requires extra/ttf-ms-fonts as a dependency, which is not taken into account by pacman.

Thanks in advance to show me the right place to post this one, if i am mistaken.

Re: openoffice dependency

Why exactly does it require it?

BTW, the bug tracker is the usual palce to report bugs but I am not convinced that this is one...

Re: openoffice dependency

Because the fonts inside are displayed as rectangles (all fonts including menus and documents).

It might not be that precise font but it requires one for sure. So installing this one solved for me.

Re: openoffice dependency

It does not depend on ttf-ms-fonts. It just requieres a supported type of font (ttf). That may be a different one depending where you live. I recommend the ttf-dejavu-font but other also suits well (Think off Asia, India...). OOo just expects one ttf font installed that every desktop should already have.
