Force package removal?

Hi!

I've got some problems with my nvidia driver and want to remove nvidia and nvidia-utils. In order to use _some_ opengl (software) I want to replace it with mesa & libgl. However, pacman won't allow me to remove it because hundrets of packages depend on it. Is there a way to force package removal or replacement with another package? The -f switch sure doesnt work...

Thanks in advance!

Re: Force package removal?

Use the "-d" switch to avoid dependency checks. Read pacman's man page too ("man pacman").

Re: Force package removal?

#pacman -Rnd nvidia nvidia-utils

That ONLY removes those two packages.
