My 6 years old pc only has 768 MB RAM, normaly that should be sufficient, but it isn't. There is one thorn in my eye with kde4. There are 10 seamlessly idle python processes running, each using exactly 10 MB. I can't close them, and i presume the are related with plasma, the parent proces is ksmserver, which is a child of kdeinit4 . I also have a new pc, there I don't bother, enough RAM there, but the old pc just starts trashing if I open 2 programs at the same time.
Anyone has a solution?
Solution: I just moved my .kde4 away, and started a fresh,
I't now runs at a fair 200 MB, so I can work again....
