hi,
after system reinstall ive found that sometimes gnome-settings-daemon doesnt start. you know, i see raleigh theme, when i open appearance settings it gives me error that gnome-settings-daemon cant start because another settings daemon is running (like kde), but i dont have kde or any other desktop installed. when i log out and login again i see that everything become fine. anyone know fix? ive found that some fedora 10 users have same problem.
thank you

I've had that happen to me occasionally on Ubuntu as well. No idea what causes it.

I get that too sometimes, I have looked for a fix but found nothing.
I find rather than logging out then in again I can goto System/Preferences/Appearance 2 times and it sets everything right.
