not so bad for arch to tie with slackware,
Eugenia usually "trash" everything she tests, so I guess arch is doing something right...
arch + gentoo + initng + python = enlisy

Yeah, it was a pretty nice review but for those who use Arch for some time it said nothin' new. What I think we should all be thinking about is how to make it better, how to make it better than slackware in almost every department. Better package quality comes to mind. The inexistence of defaults for acpi and other programs is an important issue also.
I love Arch Linux and i think it is the best Linux distro around. It can get even better though...

Pacman works well; however, in my opinion, its main problem has to do with the creation of new packages. I found that using "CheckInstall" with Slackware (or even Ubuntu and Debian) would install and create the package automatically for me. It would be awesome if the Arch guys added Pacman support to checkinstall and made the creation of Pacman packages automatic.
Is he asking for srcpac? I havn't used slackware recently and didn't use it long enough to use "CheckInstall" so don't understand all about this.

Im glad that Arch Linux is more frequently being recognized for its great performance, and features overall.

CheckInstall is actually very convenient. You just do the normal ./configure && make, and then you run checkinstall instead of make install. This way you end up with a new Slackware package which is automatically installed. I used that tool a lot to keep with Slackware's packaging system, and it was very convenient.
As for the review, I found it to be very nice and professional.
