I works now! This is what I did: First I installed Arch Linux on a USB-stick. Then I edited the Grub entry so it loaded the kernel and vmlinuz26 from the stick. When it booted up, i edited /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and edited the line
HOOKS="base"
to
HOOKS="base udev autodetect sata scsi filesystem"
Then I ran this command:
#sudo mkinitcpio -p kernel26
Reboot. Everything works now with the newest kernel.

Funny as this one one of my VERY firsy ARCH lessons back when I was really into getting an esternal USB drive to boot ARCH.... hahahaha READ: I knew'd this all along..... doh!!!!!!!!!

the bios and grub simply conflict.
Stting the drive as the HD in the laptop bios MAKES it grub (hd0.0) !!!!!!!!!!!!!
