Ndiswrapper

Hi guys,

Currently, I use Ubuntu as my OS. I read quite alot about arch, and I think its ingenious and I'd like to try it, however I think there might be some difficulties that will prevent me froom successfully install it.

My PC connects to the web via Wireless WiFi router, to which I connect through a USB adapter of lame origin. The only way I can mange to make it work in a Linux environment is by installing Ndiswrapper and use Windows drivers.  My fear is that I'll install arch, but then get stuck as it wont be able to connect to the web therefore I wont be able to use pacman to install all the stuff I need.

What can I do?

Re: Ndiswrapper

I had the same problem and just installed the base installation.  The cd comes with the ndiswrapper package and you can specify it to be installed during the installation process.  From there it's pretty straightforward.
