Quake 3 players?

I am amazed at how many folks still play Quake 3 in its many various forms and mods. So I am wondering how many Q3 players we have in the Arch community.

Do you play with any regularity? What "flavor" Q3 are you playing and what servers do you frequent?

I have played as a member of clan p0rn0finish for more years than I care to remember. We still play CTFS at our server: 208.94.49.4:27988 and Resurrected Executioners' server: 69.90.34.22:27960 and CPMA on our private clan server.

I regularly play some Q3 (CPMA) still. Usually playing some clan arena on a pub server.

I play in Italian and German servers mostly.

Used to play Q2 mainly for the longest time, some Q3 as well. Barely ever play nowadays, just very scarce game w/friends. I'm real out of shape but used to be somewhat decent lol. Quake is still the bomb though

i have been a longtime quake player, mostly rocket arena 3 but now there is almost no players or servers left here in Sweden

Just like Colbert I am a very very long time player of Quake2. I actually just re-installed Quake3 and Quake4 the other day. The mods I play would be RA3 and CPMA. The only thing I am good at is the rail ask colbert Would love to play some more because it is hard finding servers with decent people in them. By decent people I mean ones that do not talk so much trash. I just like to enjoy the game.

I hate it how they completely changed the plot from Q1 to Q2, they are all good anyway

We ran into that same issue, the trash talkers and the ones who cry foul any time someone scores a good rail shot. A bunch of us who knew each other from the alt.games.quake newsgroups started playing together and eventually set up our own servers so that we could play without all the whiners and trash-mouths.

The two server ip's above are usually populated by more mature players, folks who enjoy the game and don't spam a lot of rude chatter.

Long time Q2 player here, I've been playing vanilla quake3 in the university computer lab I work in (we even made a dedicated server in our lan )

Pure Q3 is to fast paced for my poor motor skills, but i play a lot of Urban Terror (q3mod similar to counterstrike)
World of Padman is also a winner at Lan partys

Hi All;

Now that Quake live is up and running..(and is free) (www.quakelive.com) should we all get together and determine once and for all whose the l33t3$t?
unfortunately, Linux ver is not ready yet (need to boot ur Windows partition if u have one).

I play in the CTF DE servers, my nick is daf6666.
