Digicam: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3/FS5

Has anyone gotten this camera to work with photo software like F-spot or similar? It works out-of-the-box in Ubuntu but it doesn't seem to be in the libgphoto2 database. What does one do about that?

My Lumix (TZ5) has an "USB Mode" option: either PTP or PC (normal mass storage). But most of the time I use a card reader.

Yeah mine has too, but gphoto --auto-connect doesn't find it. And as I understand it F-spot uses libgphoto. I really liked F-spot.
