AWN extras

I have a compiz standalone using awn. I want to use some of the awn extras, such as the awn menu, but they all just show up as lines on the dock. Am I missing icons? Is it something more than that? What would I need to get this going?

I don't know the answer to your problem but if you want to use cairo menu why not use cairo-dock? It is much better than AWN IMO. More stable, functional and prettier too.

I just like awn better. I like the simpler layout. I might try cairo.

I mean awn menu, btw

I am actually starting to think I don't need any of them. I like the system monitor and terminal app, but I can just use my terminal and I have conky displaying my system info/process info.
