Is there any software that I can use to add bookmarks to pdf ? I know there is pdfedit, but it depends on qt. Any software that has small dependences (No QT) ?
Under windows, there is Foxit Reader which can view pdf quickly (like evince) and add new bookmarks to pdf. I just want to find one in arch.

Are these PDF files you've written yourself, or ones that you have downloaded separately? If the former, then you are best using LaTeX to write them, it makes adding bookmarks pretty damn easy. Otherwise, if you know pdfedit works, then use that, QT isn't that big a dependency especially if you are using the feature a large amount.
Others might have better suggestions however.

Evince will remeber the page you read. For every file you open

I mean, there is a .pdf document exists, and I want to add bookmarks to it. Under Windows, I can do; how about archlinux ?

Okular can add bookmarks. i guess evince can do it too. And you already got an answer to use pdfedit to edit the pdf directly.

I have just searched AUR and found FoxitReader in it. Suprise! I didn't know it will get into linux world.
However, I like it under Windows. I will wait for its release.

There's always LaTeX... C-:
EDIT: If it is your own document you want bookmarks in, of course. Silly me.
