I'm trying to install flash, but it won't pass the validation stage. The arch wiki recommends installing the PKGBUILD, but I have no idea what to do with it. I've googled PKGBUILD for the past 15 minutes and have only found stuff on the commands within a pkgbuild. Sweet, now I can customize it. How does one install said PKGBUILD?

PKGBUILD's are the most important part of Arch Linux's build system. (ABS)
Read the wiki: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Makepkg
Try installing flash with "pacman -Sy flashplugin"

Read the wiki (those links given) and read around the forums. Also, welcome to Archlinux Forums!

Doesn't work.
I'll read up on that and figure this out. Thanks for the infos guys.
Ok, so I got it installed. I created the link between the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so and my home folder.
I run "nspluginwrapper -v -a -i" and I get "Auto-install plugins from /home/mezz/.mozilla/plugins Looking for plugins in /home/mezz/.mozilla/plugins"
no flash.

It's not a 32-bit plugin for use with nspluginwrapper. It's a native 64-bit one.

for the native flash some people need to reset the permissions on /usr/lib/mozilla to 755 and everything inside it

The permissions was it. Sorry to ask a stupid question that's readily documented....

read also about "aur helpers" - tools like yaourt which are frontends to pacman and use the AUR too
