Re: [CLOSED - SEE MONTHLY STICKIES] Arch Desktop Screenshots

Well, I've got my hands on yet another old PC that no one else will care for, and I thought I'd give Ubuntu a try before I put Arch on it, and here's what it looks like!

Also, it's not summer anymore, (here at least), so someone may want to consider renaming this thread to reflect that.  However, I would just as soon go on pretending it's summer...

I like your desktop...is minimalistic..

What window manager do you use? (and theme)

What plugin do you use to display info about the system??? (and the calendar)

Re: [CLOSED - SEE MONTHLY STICKIES] Arch Desktop Screenshots

Here's a shot of my current desktop running PekWM and Rox. Before this, I had a second attempt at Ion, hoping it would stick this time. When it didn't, I figured I would go with another "alternative" WM rather than going directly back to Openbox.  wink

Nothing fancy really.  I want my desktops just how I want my theorems:  concise and elegant.  If anything, I'm showing off my new APC Emotive album.

??? - why bother with X at all?  Given how much space it takes up?  My consoles are prettier than this!

Not that prettiness is a necessity....
