How can I stay up to date with packages from the AUR?

I'm probably missing something here, but I a wondering how I should know if there is a new release of packages I installed from the AUR with yaourt? Is there some kind of update checker?

If you run `yaourt -Syu --aur' it will act just like `pacman -Syu' except with aur packages included.

If you're too lazy to append "--aur" everytime, you can also edit /etc/yaourtrc or ~/yaourtrc and set "AlwaysUpgradeAur" to "yes"

You can also use paconky to display info about upgradable aur pkgs in conky (you can ask question about paconky here).

Unfortunately, yaourt doesnt update *-svn packages sad That is one of most missed features by me.

Did you try with "yaourt -Su --devel" ? Should do the trick
