Boot issues on Macbook, check over partition table

I've done multiple system wipes, however I still can't get it to work properly. Can someone look over my partition table from ``Partition Inspector'' to make sure this looks alright?

*** Report for internal hard disk ***

Current GPT partition table:
# Start LBA End LBA Type
1 40 409639 EFI System (FAT)
2 409640 239591127 Mac OS X HFS+
3 239853272 312581767 Basic Data

Current MBR partition table:
# A Start LBA End LBA Type
1 1 409639 ee EFI Protective
2 409640 239591127 af Mac OS X HFS+
3 239853272 312581767 0b FAT32 (CHS)

MBR contents:
Boot Code: None

Partition at LBA 40:
Boot Code: None (Non-system disk message)
File System: FAT32
Listed in GPT as partition 1, type EFI System (FAT)

Partition at LBA 409640:
Boot Code: None
File System: HFS Extended (HFS+)
Listed in GPT as partition 2, type Mac OS X HFS+
Listed in MBR as partition 2, type af Mac OS X HFS+

Partition at LBA 239853272:
Boot Code: None (Non-system disk message)
File System: FAT32
Listed in GPT as partition 3, type Basic Data
Listed in MBR as partition 3, type 0b FAT32 (CHS)

I've had issues where it would boot, but couldn't find the operating system, and other times when it couldn't figure out how to even begin booting.

Thanks.

Re: Boot issues on Macbook, check over partition table

Here's my scenario, I wipe my disk clean by booting from the OS X DVD, reinstall OS X, boot up, install rEFIt, and then reboot twice (in order to activate rEFIt [for some reason that I don't understand]). As soon as rEFIt comes up on the second reboot, I check to see if the MBR needs updating. It always does, and then when I update it, I see the option to boot a legacy OS from another partition of my internal drive, despite the fact that I haven't yet re-installed Arch. I've tried overwriting the MBR to re-normalize it using fdisk, which it said worked. Does someone know what's going on? I've now done at least 10 different permutations of Arch installations, MBR updates, rEFIt installs, including 5 OS X wipes (and reformatting the drive to erase everything [theoretically]).
