Partitioning question

Hi there!

First i must say that this is my first time using arch linux (been using ubuntu for few years). I've red wiki and beginners manual, but there is something i cant figure out by myself. It's about partitioning. Other distros i've used before, had root-swap-home system, arch is a bit different. So what i need is an advice how to make partitions properly and how to mount them. I have 250GB hdd. If you need more informations, please ask!

Thanx in advance! (not a native english speaker, so sorry for bad english!)

Re: Partitioning question

You can have a root-swap-home system on arch too if you'd like.  You can have just about whatever set up you can imagine.

Check out the Beginner's guide at the wiki if you haven't already but this part gives some pretty sound and basic advice.

You can also search the forums for something like "disk partition scheme" as this subject has been brought up many times before.

Welcome to arch!
