[SOLVED] Emerald broken after update

Hi everybody,

Does anyone else has experienced a problem with Emerald after last update?
I did a 'pacman -Syu' this morning and among the packages upgraded were compiz and emerald, everything seemed fine but after rebooting my machine I have no window borders. Everyhting was perfect before that.
Should I wait for an update for compiz/emerald or does the updated version need something else to work again?
I have an nVidia 7100 video card.
Almost forget, I'm using Arch 64.

TIA,

Warper

I am having the same issue does anybody know a fix for this? I have tried reinstalling compiz-fusion and recreate my user folder in /home. Has anybody else experienced this issue?

Re: [SOLVED] Emerald broken after update

Hi!

I noticed, that now by default the plugin "window decorations" (compiz-managerm, effects) is deactivated... coult that be it? Should say: command: emerald --replace / decorations: any... at least mine does, is activated and everything works fine.

Does emerald say anything if you try to start it manually?

If nothing else helps, you could try if the gtk version of the compiz window decorator works.

Good luck!

Re: [SOLVED] Emerald broken after update

Hey Whoops thanks for your tip, I hadn't realized that Window Decorations was deactivated by default. That corrected the problem for me.
Hope it does also for `dannyb and everyone else. I'm marking this as solved.
