For now "pacman -Syu --ignore lirc"

Is this right? I needed "yaourt -Su --ignore lirc --ignore lirc-utils". (Not sure about "--ignore lirc", however. Did not try.)
To know or not to know ...
... the questions remain forever.

Well, there is only an lirc upgrade so you _should_ only need to ignore that.
Edit: Poop. All wrong. It is --ignore lirc-utils! Anyway, I see that a new lirc has just been committed to the repos.

PART-2
With the new kernel 2.6.29 in testing, lirc doen't install ( lirc module dependencies kernel<2.6.29). Any solution? Or is it safe to force install? .... or may I build a new lirc from aur?
Thanks

If you force things it will install in a different directory so it won't work with the new kernel. Rebuilding lirc should make it work.
