Installing systemtap

Hi Guys,

I was about to try SystemTap but I was unable to compile it. Configuring the source raises the following error:

checking for dwfl_module_getsym in -ldw... no
configure: error: missing elfutils development headers/libraries (install elfutils-devel, libebl-dev, libdw-dev and/or libebl-devel)

Apparently, I am missing the elfutils in my system. After some googling, I found that this package is not included in arch in favor of the old (deprecated?) libelf. Do you have any solution for this problem?

Hi,

This seems to have worked for me, after downloading the elfutils source into ELFUITLS-SOURCE-DIR

./configure --with-elfutils=ELFUTILS-SOURCE-DIR
