KDE4: black background when opening menus

Hi, guys.
My problem is that in KDE4 when (for example) I open up the KMenu I get a black rectangle under in place of the menu for a part of the second. The same happens when I hit alt+f2, etc. It's quite annoying.
Maybe it is xorg.conf - related? My video card is Intel X3100. I'm using the Intel driver.
Here is my xorg.conf. Any ideas will be appreciated.
Edit:
Here is a mockup of the problem (not a snapshot, but pretty much what the real problem looks like)

Re: KDE4: black background when opening menus

Afaik this is caused by a broken/slow intel driver. Could you check if this is different with the vesa driver?

Re: KDE4: black background when opening menus

Well, I will test with VESA driver later and edit this post. However, the problem disappears when I enable "desktop effects" in KDE system settings -> Destkop.
Edit: The problem persists while running in VESA mode.
