[SOLVED]Looking through and sorting losts of pictures

Hi,

I have a  bunch of pictures (3GB) which I want to look through and put those, which I am on, in a special folder.
Now, opening every picture and if I am on it copying is a tidious work.

It would be cool, if some program would show all pictures in row asking to press y or n (for copying or not).

Anyone got an Idea of how to do that?

Thanks!
Nathan

What I do is use gqview. Completely hide the large view, make the file browser view small and horizontal at the top, and turn the file list into the largest thumbnail possible.

You can then hold ctrl, click anything and drag it to another folder.

While you have things selected you can right click on other pictures and select 'view in new window', or add some things for "editing" in gifview, etc.

What you can also do is use feh with actions.

Something like this should be enough. You can browse through all the pictures and press 1 to move it.

feh -dxVF --sort name --action1 "mv -v --backup=t -- \"%f\" ~"
