Does anyone have three monitors working?

A friend of mine who enjoys the piece of mind of using Linux, but not the poking and prodding recently "inherited" a good monitor in addition to the two he already had.

He has two Nvidia cards. One came with the computer and has one out while the other card is much nicer and has dual outputs.

Has anyone gotten three monitors to work in Linux? I googled, but it seems that most of the things I read are from 2004-ish, and it wasn't so good back then.

Re: Does anyone have three monitors working?

Why can't you use an old solution?  If you can get it to work, then I don't see any problems.

Re: Does anyone have three monitors working?

AFAIK
one screen on the old card, one screen with 2 monitors on the new one and in the ServerLayout section you declare both screens ala

Section "ServerLayout"
    Identifier "MEGAMONITORZ"
    Screen "OldScreen"
    Screen "NewScreen" LeftOf "OldScreen"
EndSection
