libxi-1.2.1-1 issues

Hi all!

I have 2 issues with keyboard indicator 2.24.3.1:
1) indicator keeps showing initial layout though actual layout gets switched
2) same layout is kept across different windows though appropriate option is enabled to have different ones

Before today i had libxi downgraded to 1.4.1-1

But after todays upgrade, gtk2-2.16.0-1:
:: gtk2: requires libxi>=1.2.1

Any solutions except downgrading them all?
Thanks!

@ NForce: You have to use catalyst 9.4 from AUR if you want to use xorg 1.6. wink

You should have thought of that, before you bought an ATi graphics product.

Use the open-source radeon driver.

Support is very good up until R500 chipsets.

Build the latest git version.

I have a few friends that use it, and their experience is very good so far.

CAUTION

I am talking about the ati-radeon driver, NOT the radeonHD.

Experience is good if not to play 3d games...The only reason i'm stuck with catalyst - is Urban Terror((( With ati-radeon driver i get 20fps, while with catalyst i get around 60-70

I do not think they play games.

However they have been running Compiz-Fusion all the time, with a very good experience.

That's true, KWin's performance with compositing on is the same or even better with open-source driver. Nevermind, when i grow up, i'll use the open-source driver
