Hey there archers, me being a new arch user im use to just downloading the nvidia .run file and installing it on ubuntu/opensuse but since im loving this distro i want to no if there is a way to keep the nvidia drivers up to date becuz i hear that there is memory leak fixes in 180.44 that i would like to check out since i run Arch64. This includes the lib32-nvidia-utils and nvidia-utils files along with the driver itself

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Grab the PKGBUILD for 180.44 from testing, and build it.

Hi I'm new to arch, and to the formus. This is my first post.
I have just installed a few days ago Arch 64 on an HP dv6931eu laptop.
I have a GeoForce 7200 GO and have installed x and the nvidia drivers with pacman and all worked fine.
But from my previous linux distro experience I know that the 180.44 nvidia drivers had a lot of problems. the last stable release is 180.51 and this version fixes a lot of bugs.
I have installed it with the binary drivers from nvidia website and it worked fine, but I would like to know if there is any method to use the PKGBUILD information from a version, to build in the arch way a version downloaded from nvidia?
Many Thanks and sorry if the question is not propper to this forum.
