Where is the path the the thunar icon? And will simply having thunar in the "" launch the application or not..?

Seriously - did you try?
If you want to know it it works without quotes, take them out, test it, bump your head into the wall - learn.
As for Thunar icon: it's in /usr/share/ somewhere . Probably in the icons folder, on in the themes one (not on Linux atm).

Nah i didnt try it yet because i didnt know where the icon was, hence coming here. But your right, i really should look for myself instead of relying on others

Well for things that won't break your box it's easier to test for yourself . I understand you want a second opinion if you're unsure about something and don't want to wreck your setup, but in this case, the fix is easy . I don't know what the default icon is for Thunar though, maybe you can filter the
pacman -Ql
thunar output for icons.
