Hello everybody,
I am having trouble with networking since kernel 2.6.26 was released, everything was fine with previous versions (2.6.25 and before).
I'm using the integrated network interfaces of my motherboard (nForce 650i), both of them are well detected when the module forcedeth is loaded, but nothing really works:
* dhcpd times out
* when I connect this computer directly to another (with static ips) they can't ping each other
At first I thought this was bug introduced in forcedeth recent versions so I've rebuild the forcedeth module using its 2.6.25 source but it doesn't change anything So it's not because of forcedeth.
The cable detection works because when I try to dhcp without my ethernet cable plugged in dhcpcd tells it to me ("no carrier").
I really don't know where this problem comes from, maybe you have an idea ?
Thank you.
Notes:
* Networking still works well with kernel 2.6.25 so my network hasn't been damaged or something like that.
* This problem is not specific to archlinux, I have exactly the same problem with other distributions.
* This is not a TCP Window Scaling problem.

Have you tried 2.6.29.1?

I have tried kernel 2.6.29.1 and I still have the same issue
Do you think I could report this somewhere ?
Thank you

I haved searched more and I have found that a solution was to disable MSI and MSI-X passing parameters "msi=0 msix=0" to forcedeth kernel module.
