I've a strange problem with xine, I've upgraded to latest version but, when I try to load a file from xine menu, I can't open anything because it says something like "error loading file : °§é°*/myhome/file.avi" . Why those strange characters? It happens only with kernel 2.6.9, switching back to 2.6.4 it works fine....

strange. something is not right. perhaps get ahold of the maintainer of the package via email and see if it may be a bug with the package or with your computer. you could also visit the xine sight and see if there is any information on this. it would seem to be a locale error maybe ?!
