Repetitive loss of connection

Hi,

For some reason, I can't maintain a connection to the internet longer than thirty seconds (or so). After those thirty seconds, I have to unplug and replug my Ethernet cable, which allows me to have another thirty seconds connection.

The modules I load for the network are: ppp_generic, slhc, dmfe and tulip.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Repetitive loss of connection

It started working ten minutes ago, just like that.

eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:80:AD:05:14:2F
          inet addr:10.92.125.244  Bcast:255.255.255.255  Mask:255.255.240.0
          inet6 addr: fe80::280:adff:fe05:142f/64 Scope:Link
          UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:21770 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:18037 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
          RX bytes:25806875 (24.6 Mb)  TX bytes:1773837 (1.6 Mb)
          Interrupt:3 Base address:0xd800

Left out the loopback.

At the time when the connection repetitively fell out, the errors parts at the RX / TX packets lines were a lot greater than 0. I don't understand why all of the sudden there aren't any errors anymore.

Thanks anyway.
