kernel infos

Hi all' I've noticed that, when using an arch precompiled kernel, if I type "uname -a" I get a list of infos, such as compiler name, date etc...If I try to compile a kernel by miself, I get a lot of "unknown" in uname output. On which file should I operate to enter those informations?
