prob with banshee and podcasts

Hey all,

The multimedia app banshee is right now potentially the killer do-it-all multimedia app that i have been looking for.
I have only two problems with it.

1) kinda slow, expecially loading up. I think gnome loads quicker. Kinda does not match my simple awesome wm and light apps to have this giant on board, but .. worth it if i can do all that i need to with it.

2) i seem to have a problem with downloading certain video podcasts.
some don't work at all, as soon as i paste the url to the feed, it just dissapears. Sometimes, it will begin downloading a video episode of one of my favorites, like the hubblecast, and after the progress bar gets so far out it just dies. Some feeds, like the railscast, updates perfectly every time.

been all over the forums, here, linux questions, google, and the banshee forums, have seen a few others ask this same question, but have yet to get an answer.
any help would be greately appreciated. thanks
