Trying to install 'gedit-plugins'. The dependencypackage 'gucharmap' is version 2.24xxx in the database, while version 2.26xx is in the repositories. Therefore it will not continue my wish, and halt.
Is there anyway around this? And/or should i file a (bug)-report, and nicely wait?

It is fine in my db. Try a "pacman -Syy" to force a db refresh and if that does not work switch mirrors.

Thanx, but nope, didn't do the trick.
I did a -Sy before, that -Syy wasn't in the Wiki.. Niether of them did made my 'database' upgrade to the 2.26.., that is found in the repositories. Trying to find the (extra-db.tar.gz), and see if i can update it manually, then try pacman...

And also, pacman tries about 10 of the repos in the mirrorlist...
May i'll decomment all!?

Commented all but 'archlinux.org', and now it works. Even though throttled and equally as slow as me, on a Sunday morning, this actually made my day ;o)
So, probably all the other repo-maintainers do a cron once a month, one can guess.
As I said, happy me ;o)

You can combine this page http://users.archlinux.de/~gerbra/mirrorcheck.html and the rankmirrors script to get an up to date mirror that is fast for you.
