I just installed the arch theme for bmpanel and it will not show the icon tray. Ive tried all the other themes and they work great, but I want to keep the arch theme but I really need the icon tray. Heres my theme file:

thanks, that was the issue. is there any way to bypass this though? the panel looks goofy without composite, but i really need the icon tray to be there

no there were bugs with the tray coming off the panel and being in the middle of the screen when nsf first added compositing.
to fix it would take too much work so he just disabled the tray when using composite themes if i remember right.
The only option afiak is to run a standalone tray like stalonetray with your composite theme.

Im using the same theme. Just disable compositing
"use_composite 0"
For me it doesnt actually matter much to have real tranparency on a panel, so fake does it nicely (btw, doesnt look goofy at all here!!!)
