Re: e17 realease shedule

E17 has LONG needed a dev time table and roadmap.  LONg needed.  I honestly can say-I read that page and have no idea what it means though.

It is a timetable with no clear goals.  What is the point of that?

E17 is currently at 16.999.050 or so, what is left to need "alphas" or "dev snapshots"?  I don't get it.  MANY distros already have E17 packages available one way or another.  What is it that is left that needs done in the E17 series?  I can think of LOTS of improvements but those would sooner be for a future E18 than a continuation of the 16.999.*** line.

He comments on needing to produce binary packages to increase userbase...which well is silly.  Arch has E17 packages in the repos.  Ubuntu does too.  What is needed are things like keyboard macro supports for window management or hardware-graphics acceleration support: those are the two main things that keep me from using E rather than KDE4.

This has me so stoked big_smile E17 is amazingly pretty, yet a tad unstable still.
