sourceforge mirror for makepkg

When I want to build a package with makepkg that is to be download from sourceforge; I always have a very very slow server. Is there an easy way to change the server it uses. I would prefer not to have to edit the PKGBUID each time. As a last resort, if nothing all is possible; is it possible to automatically transform the url present in the PKGBUILD for a specific mirror and have a list of sourceforge mirrors? (I do not know sourceforge conventions at all)

Re: sourceforge mirror for makepkg

I have this in my /etc/hosts:

# local sourceforge mirror
150.101.135.12 dl.sourceforge.net dl.sf.net downloads.sourceforge.net

The IP address is my mirror of choice and will probably be different for you.

Re: sourceforge mirror for makepkg

A more general-purpose solution is to use axel (or aria2c) for http downloads .
Have a look at DLAGENTS in '/etc/makepkg.conf' .

English is not my native language .
