BT Driver Problem - Need old Driver

Before 2.6.28 the default Bluetooth USB driver was hci_usb. Since then a new driver has been introduced which is still buggy and causes connection timeouts (btusb). Please include in the future the old driver because it it is still present in the kernel.

Dmesg errors from the new drivers

hci_cmd_task: hci0 command tx timeout
hci_cmd_task: hci0 command tx timeout

Re: BT Driver Problem - Need old Driver

There is a patch for the new driver. Pls add this patch to the kernel:

Both of these requests should be posted in the Arch bugtracker. Please note that we will only consider adding the patch suggested above if it has been submitted upstream and will be merged into mainline in a future release.

Does anyone read the reports? When not adding the patch, than consider to ship the older driver too. It's just a simple kernel switch.

Yes, people read the reports - that's why I suggested posting one. Arch developers may or may not read the forum, but all bug reports are read and evaluated.
