I am following the beginners guide and I have installed alsa utils, alsa-lib, and alsa-oss, but I am unable to hear any sounds from my Logitech USB headset. It is listed in /proc/asounds/cards as 1 and I used alsamixer to ensure that it is unmuted, but I can still not hear anything. I also have snd-audio-usb listed in the modules array in rc.conf. I am at a loss as to how to get this working now. Any help is appreciated, thanks!!

Nevermind, I figured it out. I needed the .asoundrc file in my home directory with the headset set to the default device.
