Hello,
I used to use madwifi when I was using Debian, but Debian developers dropped that package because they claimed that ath5k in kernel 2.6.29 worked (ath5k did not work for me before 2.6.29 so I would use madwifi, and I did not have the opportunity to test it for 2.6.29 in Debian).
Now in Arch with kernel 2.6.29, I cannot see any wifi interface with ifconfig. Is there any way to make ath5k work? Or, do I still have to use madwifi?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
You can check arch wiki pages for "Wireless Setup". I have an Atheros card and with 2.6.29 kernel(ath5k module) it works without any modification.

Thank you for the hint. By reading the manual yo suggested, I realised that I had to install wireless-tools. Now it works.
Thank you.
