How do i use curl correctly?

REcently i tried to download some config files by using curl with the command curl ADRESS -o "filename". It all went fine until it tries to start, for example .bashrc, gives me the error "unexpected end of file" even tho its all correct. Can it be because i used curl wrong?

Re: How do i use curl correctly?

open the files and see if they end abrubtly?
maybe you should also look at the stdout/stderr of curl, it could help in you in knowing what went wrong...
