Kernel update, lost sound modules

Hi,

I have updated to kernel 2.6.29 and at boot it says it was unable to auto detect my sound card. It says it is using a guess method.

My sound card is a Realtech Audio, or something. I can not be exactly sure of it right now.

Do i have to recompile the kernel with support for it? Cause i actually never tried doing that.

I have Realtech also and didn't have a prob with the update.
I did when I did a reinstall last week though.
Dunno if this is the prob but check alsamixer and make sure line jac is muted.
That fixed it for me.
Beyond that, i wouldn't have a clue.
